The MPC Paraburdoo was briefed to Emirge to provide a roof structure over three existing mixed-use sports courts, including a resurfacing, lighting for night games, Clubhouse construction, toilet and First Aid amenities. The project scope included removal of existing AstroTurf, concrete and asphalt, civil engineering of existing subgrade works and import of additional base course compliant with <1% new asphalt surface. Emirge additionally constructed new lighting with four 12m lighting towers.
In the demolition stages, Emirge worked on the removal of
- 2625m² of existing degraded asphalt surface
- 1675m² degraded astro turf from the tennis courts
- 1675m² of degraded concrete surface and asphalt removed from tennis courts
- Ten 12m high light poles
- 390lm of degraded chain mesh wire fence 3.6m high demolished
