The Emirge team faced problems around the extremely compact site and how they would work through logistical and storage issues. The site required ongoing cranage and deliveries, so Emirge minimised pedestrian and vehicular disruption via thorough and actionable traffic management planning.
The total project costing was reduced from an initial $2.9M to $2M, through strategic and considered collaboration with the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Whitehaus Architecture. Emirge prioritised value engineering throughout the site.
The use of OSB panels in lieu of traditional by-rock and extensive perforated screening are primary examples of how this building is ahead of its time.
The final result?
A modern, eye-catching industrial building that sets itself apart from traditional building practices in the North West.
